I spend hours upon hours researching a bag that I could take to Italy and feel fairly secure and also use for various business trips as a carry on. I really enjoy having the mono sling bag when I travel as it's easy to carry and I can put it underneath the airplane seat. After 10 years my old bag developed holes. The first bag that I ordered was just too dang small for a six foot one man and looked too girly for me. So I sent it back. I then order this bag after hours of more research. To say I was obsessed is putting it mildly. The only bummer about this bag was it did not have a dedicated side pocket for a beverage bottle. However upon receiving the bag there is a front pouch that will easily carry a 16 ounce water bottle and it doesn't fall out. Along with numerous pockets inside, a secret back pocket, easy access side pocket and a cover over the zipper panel to somewhat conceal the zipper from possible tampering, it's the perfect bag. Very well made as well. Going to try it on a short trip next week. Then the big test in Italy later in the month.
