Kuhl Men's Burr Zip-Front Canvas Jacket, Brown, Size XX-LARGE (42/44) Review

I liked the look of this jacket, so I first ordered an XL. Had to return it as it fit very small. Got an XXL replacement and it fits ok. This is the only XXL garment I have in my wardrobe. Its still kinda tight in the upper body. Also, the pockets: they are quite small. The zippered slash exterior pockets are not really big enough to get my entire hands in, and the interior pocket has the same issue - it actually has an opening that is annoyingly small. I'm 6'1, 230 lbs and well built in the upper body, but not like a bodybuilder or anything. I do not have abnormally large hands - they're just average. I'm not sure what kind of person this jacket was designed for? Super thin with tiny hands?...hmm. It looks good and is despite the odd fit, well made, so I might keep it. But if you want one you should definitely size up.

EDIT: (10/9/13) Now that cool weather has come I've been wearing the jacket alot. The fit is OK - sleeves are too long but when layering over a sweater that's no problem. I like the material, seems like it will wear well. It's not water repellent, but it's tight and there's a light synthetic flannel lining inside, so it's warm enough for cool days. My comment above about the pockets is still true - they're small. But the coat is well made with high quality materials, so I'd go another star up on my original 3-star rating.
