I emailed the company thinking they had sent me a knock-off. I was assured that this was the real deal and they were nice enough to say that I could return it. The differences in Adidas quality over the past couple of years is really noticeable. My old hoodie is about 3 inches longer and there is a snap as well as a tie at the neckline. Also, my old hoodie has a felted finish on the Adidas logo where as this one is just some sort of shiny screen printed ink -- which sticks to itself in the dryer. Speaking of the dryer, it also shrank up a bit, so if you do buy this, hang it to dry. My old one takes about 30 minutes to dry if its the only thing in the dryer. This one takes about 10 -- the fleece is that much thinner. I did decide to keep this because I checked out the Adidas website and they just don't make 'em like they used to. Perhaps it is the country of origin. This one is made in China (of course) whereas my old one was made in Vietnam. Sure wish I could find one just like my old one. It was/is a favorite, but is looking a little worse for the wear and tear.
