Made of 50% cotton/50% polyester fabric, carhartt's midweight hooded pullover sweatshirt works well when the weather turns cool. Comfort is enhanced with its attached hood with draw-cord closure. Front hand-warmer pockets are standard, as are its rib-knit cuffs and waist band that keep out the cold and seal in the warmth. Charcoal heather fiber content is 55% cotton / 45% polyester. Heather gray fiber content is 70% cotton / 30% polyester.

I just purchased one of these K122 Carhartt sweatshirt jackets and it is very flimsy.I think my t-shirt is thicker than this thing.Carhartt makes too many versions of their hooded sweatshirt jackets to understand what you are buying before you order it unless you are actually able to see and feel the jacket in person.This to me is definitely not "mid-weight".Its more of a very very light weight.I have an older sweatshirt Carhartt jacket that looks like this K122 but is alot heavier and thicker.Thats what i thought i was buying here but its my fault for not looking at what the material is made from on this item.

The K122 as you are seeing here is 50% polyester and 50% cotton.This is very flimsy and super light weight.My old Carharrt sweatshirt jacket is 80% cotton and 20% polyester which is a thicker and stronger material.My old hooded sweatshirt jacket must be model number K185 as you can find here on Amazon but since my old sweatshirt jacket is so old,it doesnt have a model number on it,just a tag of the size and material type.

The new K122 as pictured may vary in the picture than what you receive.The Carhartt logo may be embroidered on the shoulder(old style) or it may come with the square Carhartt tag on the front pockets(new style)from what ive been told from a local dealer and from what ive seen in stores.My old one has the embroidered logo on the shoulder and this new one i received is a square tag on the front pocket.I also want to fore warn guys that if you have large shoulders,the Tall versions aint gonna do you much good.I ordered a 3xlt which is the tall version.I am 6'2" 285lbs.The front of the jacket is super long but since my shoulders are so wide,the rear of the jacket actually comes above my waist!So this jacket may work if you have a large BEER GUT but it wont cover your back waistline!

conclusion--the K122 Carharrt hooded "mid weight" jacket is very flimsy and to me isnt really "mid-weight"!The tall versions wont do any good if you have large shoulders because the backside of the jacket will still end above your back waistline and the front will hang lower than your crotch line.Anyone looking at this product should really consider the K185 Carhartt which is a strong and heavier material like Carhartt is typically known for.The K122 almost feels generic like something youd find in a dollar store but it does have a heavy duty YKK zipper.If i could do this over again,i wish i would have researched the product more careful on the materials being used and ordered the thicker K185 instead or even got the J149 model which has a thermal liner and is heavier duty! You better research the model number jackets your interested in buying before you go thinking its gonna be just like your old worn out Carhartt jacket that its replacing!
